Announcements.

The City of Hiawassee and City Planning Committee will host a Community Meeting on Downtown Development and renovation of the Hiawassee City Square on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 12:00 noon in City Hall. Chip Wright, Historic Preservation Planner, Georgia Regional Commission, will present plans and strategies related to improvements to the City Square and seek input from the community.

All council members and members of the City Planning Committee are invited to attend and participate. Additionally, members of the Chamber of Commerce, community leaders and downtown business and property owners will be invited. Finally, the City will issue press releases to local papers encouraging interested parties to attend.
