You may just fall off the edge of the earth
Opinion — By Staff Report on April 13, 2010 at 2:30 pmLetter to the Editor:
Mr. Fitzgerald, I am not a “right wing” Republican, so let’s get that out first. However, I find your left leanings and drivel just so far left that you may fall off the edge of the earth, so please be careful.
If you want a “thinking conservative” to answer you, you got one. But I work for a living and don’t have the time to devote to continue bantering with you about national politics.
While it is true the 1994 health care policies may not have been the perfect answer to our health care system, the one we are faced with now is light years from reality. There is no way in this world you and your liberal cohorts are going to be able to give the American public a straight answer as to how you plan on funding this albatross. You certainly have a silver tongued spokesperson who could sell ice cream to Eskimos, but the everyday Joe who has to pay taxes by working for a living can see through the veil, and we know who will be saddled with the brunt of the burden.
We didn’t need to reinvent the wheel when it came to the Health Care Bill (Obamacare), so why did Congress have a bill submitted, that no one read, that we can’t afford, that doesn’t even take effect until 2014, but we pay for until then? The health care bill we had just had a flat tire. So why couldn’t the liberals you cherish reach out and accept help in fixing the flat tire? We could have had a 100 page bill that fixed the broken parts, with less burden to our future generations, that got us back on the road. You want to know why conservatives are “up in arms”? Maybe you should “think” about it.
The conservative movement may not be perfect as you say. But don’t get me started on the liberal failings, as the newspaper would have to go into overdrive to print it. The conservative movement has not made death threats, has not vandalized congressional offices, is most definitely more concerned with this nation than liberals, emotional (but you said that), so get your facts straight. Certain individuals made those actions against your leaders, and those individuals should be held accountable for their actions. For you to typecast an entire political movement because of a few loose strings is incomprehensible, but typical for liberals.
There was absolutely no recorded evidence, nor was there any witness accounts of anyone using disparaging comments to any congressman during the march the other day, so for you to say there was is inflammatory. Barney Frank has done nothing to help raise himself up from the mud hole he came out of, so I won’t apologize for any conservative comment about his sexual preference. Maybe he should spend more time reading the Bible. The “baby killer” comment wasn’t meant for Bart Stupak, but for the bill itself, so, here again, get some facts straight before you dribble it all over the ink.
“Think” back to the year 2004….do you remember any editorial cartoons depicting President Bush? Were they all respectful? Did they mock him? Oh, my goodness, sorry for bringing that up. It is all covered in the First Amendment, anyway, so loosen up.
Look down at your browser, and I am sure you will find a button called “reload”. Where do you liberals get off at word play to suit your mind set? “Reload”??? Liberals had better learn to do it, too, especially before this November, or we’ll “reload” congress for you. See how the word can be used? Sarah Palin is a foe you will reckon with this November, so buckle up.
I’ll wait until you have read the entire Health Care Bill, or excerpts of the same so you can bone up on what the government has in store for us. Death panels may be a harsh word, but I’d rather have a doctor tell me what I can or cannot do with my health than Barney Frank or Charles Schumer. Face it, Congress and the Senate have their health care taken care of, so for them to sit on the hill and dole out benefits as they see fit is a far cry from sanity.
You want hysteria? What is it when a President coerces members of Congress (a totally separate branch of government) with who-knows-what in order to get a vote on a bill before Congress. He should sit at 1600 in his office, “administer” his duties since he is of the Administrative Branch, and let the Legislative branch do their job without his intervention. He needs not to tread on the Judicial Branch as he did in his State of the Union message. He is trying to Administer, Legislate and Adjudicate from one chair. You could feel the “hysteria” going through the hollow cores of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid’s heads as the vote drew closer, and they felt the pressure. “At any cost” was their slogan. Well they got it, and we have to pay for it. Thanks liberals.
I just hope there are 485 jobs available on November 4th across the country. The sound you will hear will be like a toilet flushing.
Yep, I’m a thinker, but I just don’t think taking my money and giving it to people who don’t have what I have because they don’t want to work is absurd. I think giving amnesty to illegal aliens so they can have on the spot benefits that I have worked 50 years to achieve is treasonous. Most of all, I think lemmings should not be able to vote. To elect a man who has never held a job, never run a company, never served a day in military service, has doubtful roots, refuses to release any of his past to the public, has relationships with people having un-American ideas on how to run our country, staffing his presidency with characters who either don’t pay their taxes or have trouble with TurboTax (give me a break), gives Constitutionally guaranteed American rights to foreign terrorists who tried to kill Americans as an act of War….need I go on? As November 4th approaches, hopefully the lemmings will have seen “there is no money” and they will have to fend for themselves. There is one Savior, and he certainly isn’t our current leader. I shuddered when I even included the words together in my sentence.
Constitutional interpretation? We don’t hold a lock on it, but certainly have a far better understanding as to the intent of the Constitution than some liberal knee jerk attorney who affiliates himself with the ACLU, and who tries to rid my country of its founding heritage. God is the core. It is everywhere in our history. For liberals to huddle up with the likes of the ACLU and promote the removal of our Godly heritage just rubs me the wrong way. You don’t see any conservative movement wanting to abort the unborn, remove God from our cornerstones, spend money we don’t have, leave our borders open to any and all traffic, legal and illegal, so why are conservatives taking a ration from the liberals? This is why we won’t stand for it any more. This is why we are up in arms to see that our heritage is protected. Liberals certainly don’t offer any heritage preservation in their ideals.
Since you didn’t bring it up, I will…..the Second Amendment is an individual right. We are the militia, and that amendment was put there so we can rise up against a tyrannical government if necessary. Not imminent, but it could happen. So leave it alone.
Oh, yeah, just so you won’t think all conservatives are horrible trolls, have a nice day!
