Deborah Jones Chastain

Mrs. Deborah Jones Chastain, age 64, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home.  Deborah was born August 22, 1946, in Fannin, GA, to Ambrose and Kathryn Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Ruth Ann Dillard.

Debby graduated from Piedmont Hospital nursing school in 1967.  She retired from nursing in 2001 after serving Fannin County for 30 years at the Fannin County Health Dept.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth for forty years. Her most enjoyable job was being a grandmother.

Survivors include: husband, Ronald  Chastain; son, Christopher Matthew (Dee) Chastain; Stacy Aaron (Jenna) Chastain; brothers, Bob and  Sam Jones,   sister, Becky Williams; grandson, Alex Chastain, granddaughter, McKenzie Chastain, grandson, Crews Chastain, nieces and nephews, Mark Chastain, Joe Jones, George Dillard, Marty Dillard, Tommy Williams, Todd Dilbeck.

Funeral services were on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 3:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordon and Minister Butch Jones officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Mark Chastain, Joe Jones, George Dillard, Marty Dillard, Tommy Williams, and Todd Dilbeck.   Interment followed in the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery.
